Спрашивали, на какой секунде обезьяна становится человеком. Оно интересно, конечно (см. ссылку), но я не об этом. Первая мысль, возникшая после просмотра: ролик расистский, ибо выставляет арийца нордического типа белого человека венцом эволюции гоминид. А потом подумал, что если бы африканца в конец поставили - то оно ещё расистскее выглядело бы. И шо делать?..

well, admit it.

aboriginal australians look more like the common ancestor, so do americal indians (purebloods), so do african subsaharans. it is just looks, it does not mean any superiority. but yes, even if it is a racist thing to say, white euro face is ONE of the possible "end branches".


the video is not only racist, it is incomplete. it should show "trees" of human facial morphology evoluiton, wiht end branches of not one but multiple facial prototypes. in that tree, aboriginals would wind up "lower" in evolvement, but constitute their own endpoint, and orientals might win up "higher" than whites. meaning even further away from the ape.
if you take a mandarin chinese man, he will look less like an ape than the guy on whom the video ends.

It is a good idea to put asian face in the end. Noone (or less people) will think the video is racicst. :)

however it is also sily to argue that some ethnicities have features closer to teh common ancestor than others... without "interpreting" this fact in any racist way.
